Privacy
The short version: we collect the minimum to run a bookshelf, we sell none of it, and you can be forgotten by sending one email.
What we collect
- Launch list: if you sign up to hear when the shelf is stocked — your email, the tags you optionally picked, and which link brought you here (UTM tags). Used for exactly one announcement email. No digest, no drip.
- Account: if you create one — your email, whether you read or write books, roughly how many books you read a month, and the books you save.
- Authors: what you put on your public page — book details, retailer links, a cover.
- Usage: first-party analytics events (searches, saves, retailer click-outs) tied to a random session id. No third-party analytics, no ad pixels, no fingerprinting.
What we don’t do
- We don’t sell or share your data with third parties.
- We don’t run third-party analytics, image, or recommendation services.
- We don’t send marketing beyond what you explicitly signed up for.
Where it lives
Data is stored with our hosting and database provider (Supabase) and email is delivered by our transactional provider (Resend). Retailer links go to the retailers — what happens on their side is theirs.
Off the list, or gone entirely
Email mikeferrantee@gmail.com from the address in question and we’ll take you off the launch list or delete your data — both within 30 days, usually much faster.
This address may change at launch when our permanent domain’s mail is set up — this page will always carry the current one.
